Development of the Operational Engine Room
A well established, successful family business, operating in major NSW regions servicing heavy industry with a range of services including transport, quarrying and bulk materials.
The project was a General Management capability review to ascertain the capacity of the five incumbent GM’s to transition from an operational focus to full 360 – degree leaders with a focus on leadership and business growth.
Roles were redesigned, assessment was undertaken to ascertain incumbent GM capability to support the new strategy and remuneration was recast to explicitly link performance to reward. Recommendations resulted in the retention, release and augmentation of the GM team.
With this framework in place the Board and CEO were able to readily manage the progress of the GM’s as their capability evolved to meet changing business needs.
