Creating Board and CEO Alignment

The Client

Is a long standing, highly regarded charitable organisation charged with task of fundraising for a parent who manages a large volunteer base in emergency services.

The Challenge

The incumbent CEO was completely misaligned with the values and purpose of the organisation and was agitating for aggressive remuneration outcomes that were counter to the ethos of the organisation.

The Solution

Counselled the Board on the most appropriate way to release the CEO, then developed a new, organisationally aligned CEO competency profile and recruited a suitable CEO.

The Impact

Released the Board from being consumed by the dysfunctional CEO and allowed proper governance and business operations to flourish in an environment consistent with the organisation’s charter.
